He was accompanied by the Commercial Counsellor, Mr Fiacre Boudoungou. During the visit, Brian Olley had the opportunity to discuss shell’s operation in Gabon with management. He then visited the Gamba Terminal crude oil export facility, the Yenzi Clinic as well as the Gabon biodiversity Smithsonian Laboratory.
The visits were followed by a meeting with the British nationals living in Gamba where he explained his roles and identified the services provided by the Embassy of the United Kingdom. Brian Olley also shared plans to set up a mobile visa service that will allow Gabonese citizens to obtain a visa for the United Kingdom in Gabon without traveling to Cameroon and Ghana.
The Ambassador expressed his delight with the visit, and this has enabled SHELL to continue to build and strengthen its stakeholder relations with key actors.
His Excellency Brian Olley was appointed Ambassador of the United Kingdom in Cameroon and Gabon in September 2013.
